My first born turns 4

You may be confused, but yes, I had a child before Lucy.  No, I'm not talking about my husband, though I could put him in that category a lot.  HA! My first born is my dog Bert.  He's 50% golden retriever and 50% yellow lab and he is PERFECT!  I know many of you are thinking that I'm being a typical parent that thinks my child does no wrong and I'm telling you I'm not.  Bert is the most loyal, smart, loving dog I've ever met.  He's not aggressive, he loves fetch, but when we put the ball away, he's doesn't obsess.  He's been an amazing addition to our family.

His mom weened him early, so I've had him since he was 6 1/2 weeks old.  Don't get me wrong, he had his "puppy" phase where he chewed everything in sight, he even had a lingering love for my underwear...don't get me started (GROSS!).  He learned quickly and has been a great big brother to Lucy.
